I don't know if it matters for what you're saying, but I believe the motor was 150kW, and is now only 135kW because of the LFP cells having lower voltage.

Clarification from Slate on charging details is certainly welcome.
That is likely where the 181 horsepower number comes from. 150 kW will get you 181 shaft horsepower at 90% efficiency. I'm guessing horsepower is one of those not yet updated numbers. Thanks for pointing out the original motor kW.

I'm amazed how many folks comment in this thread without actually reading most of it, and specifically what the OP stated and asked.

You and many others are literally proposing a 240v receptacle and breaker, ie "Level 2 charging". This is what is being expressly forbidden by the landlords insurer.
Full stop.
OP goes on to talk about running a new circuit on the very first page. The others that suggest similar solutions probably read this as well. It sounds like the landlord doesn't want a hardwired EVSE "charger" installed, but was okay with modifying the wiring or even installing a new circuit. I don't see the logic in those decisions, but just replacing a receptacle is far less invasive and a lot easier and cheaper to do and then reverse on move out day.

A far more clunky and expensive solution is to install or source a second 120v circuit and then to use a phase combiner to create a 6-15 outlet from two 5-15 receptacles. You'd have to make sure each circuit is on a separate phase (side) of the panel, but with this solution, nothing in the house runs on 240v; everything remains 120v up to the plug in phase combiner.

You've posted a lot in this thread but maybe you skipped reading a lot of the posts yourself?

I'm going to bet it is not limited to 1400 watts...

I posed this question to Slate this morning,
"I am wondering what the level 1 (120 volt) charge options are for the standard charging equipment that comes with the Slate."

I got this reply this afternoon,
"Slate comes with a charging cable and adapters for a regular household outlet - 1.9 kW on a 20-amp outlet - as well as a 240V outlet.

"It will come with a charging cord that is capable of Level 1 and Level 2 charging. This means it can plug directly into a 120V or 240V wall outlet."

I have found Slate Auto to be very responsive to email inquiries from registered users. We should likely speculate less here and ask them more (I'm guilty too). I have a preorder with a 2nd quarter 2027 date.

There must be a feature to detect or set the level one amps because it looks like a NEMA 15 standard plug.

It appears to me the 5-15 is an adapter block and the plug is the 4 pin with rotatable/switchable neutral pin… and if rotated clockwise would be a 14-50. Strange.
