I'll gladly jump on one still if they're 25K or less. I'll probably stick to the pickup only version instead of getting the SUV topper but that'll be my only concession. If the extended range is only a grand or two more I can take that hit. So for base I say 24,999.⁹⁹

Post your best guess for the base price, before delivery charge, down to the penny if you want, and I'll buy a slate hat for the closest to the actual price. If several people get it right, I'll draw one of their names out of a hat.

My guess, $ 24,999.00

Winner will get hat once slate opens orders. If you can think of any other rules we should have, let me know. Looking forward to see how much spread we have in our guesses.

Do not include EV tax rebate, as it is likely dead.
Biggest Win for Slate would have Standard Range Blank Slate start at 24K and Long Range Blank Slate start at 28K. But I agree I think we are likely looking 25K Price Ideally for the Blank Slate but they don't want to promise that yet.

I’ll go $24,750 standard, $27,750 extended range.

Mid-20’s without the tax credit is still reasonable (to me). Name another American manufactured, domestically produced truck, reasonably priced and geared towards DIY types.

Ford Maverick- Slate On Preorder
What I’m buying is an ev- that is reconfigurable, insanely customizable, and ultimately focused on a commitment to right to repair as much as practical. Whether 20k, 25k, 30k, I’m still blown away by what Slate brings to the table. I think we are all missing what has become common practice in industrial manufacturing and especially when it comes to EVs. Initial flagships vehicles are usually quite expensive because of the initial setup of manufacturing and time it takes to lean out the processes. I appreciate that not only is Slate attempting to completely disrupt the market based on consumer feedback but it’s actively attempting to do so well below the cost of any other ev truck currently on the market and comparable to any ev suv currently available. It would be my opinion that Slate was well aware the EV tax credits would end(Administration openly discussed this), and had planned throughly for this in their marketing strategies.
Either way- I’m still stoked for the truck, but of course no one cheers having to pay an extra 7k for anything, revolutionary customizable small sized trucks included.
