On the supercharger thing, I'm wondering if that's ALL superchargers, or a subset? Because so far Tesla has only opened a subset of its chargers to other OEMs. Still, this is great news!

As for the RepairPal thing, we can each make up our own minds on that. Here's a link where you can find RepairPal network stations near you. Personally - this almost looks like an April Fools prank. Yea sure, I'll take my Slate to the muffler shop for a battery repair. In my book, this is a capital letters FAIL on the service issue.

Also, not all shops in the network will do warranty service.

Since when is Meineke just a 'muffler shop'? The whole point of it being a network is so you can have choice and options, and you're not locked in to only your local dealership. The locations can also tap in to other locations for expertise if they can't do what you need.
Down the road from you, and expect it to spread:

Well these are 2 bits of interesting news. It certainly starts to flesh out the skeleton of "how is this all going to work IRL?". I'm not a particular fan of Meineke, but know that I pass one every day commuting.

Disappointed. In my neighborhood they only have a few independent repair shops listed that I’ve been avoiding over the years. Also a couple of collision shops (that I also try to avoid). lol. What do they know about evs? They will undoubtedly be taking a crash course at Slate University.

Of all the options in my area, christian brothers is probably the best. I wouldn't let my worst enemy do Kwik Kar.

Apparently you fellas at least have a choice, zero listed for me. None on the island even though it comes up in locator.

I think it's most Tesla Superchargers, but not all. According to Tesla, they currently have 36,500+ stalls for Tesla vehicles in North America, and 25,000+ of those stalls will also work with other NACS-equipped EVs (like Slates). That number is consistent with the "more than 25,000" number that Slate is now using.

So currently around 2/3 of Tesla Superchargers should work with Slates, and that percentage will probably grow over time.

Tesla doesn't currently list Slate among the manufacturers that are "Supported" or "Coming Soon", but presumably the page will be updated at some point.

Seems like my options aren't the greatest either. Doesn't matter too much to me. Going through the updated FAQ though, was it known they are going to do demo drives in 2026? I haven't read the FAQ in awhile so I'm not sure when that popped up but I look forward to that.

When I look it up in my area there's one corporate and two independent shops that are both pretty close to me. You can't expect them to come up with an entire independent nationwide repair system. And I would be able to pick among the three and see what kind of reviews they get. So other than partnering with an oem that has EV certified mechanics like Ford (And wait 2 weeks to get in because they're so backlogged) Or Tesla? That seems like they wouldn't play with anyone and they have their own backlog, It doesn't seem like a bad solution depending on what your area is and the shops available.

Ditto To FC49r. Nearest one is 50 miles one way (will they have chargers?), but I would not trust any of them on the list within driving distance with my lawn mower, much less ANY highway vehicle. Very low ratings on most of them. This will probably be a deal breaker for me. I foresee nothing but headaches should there be a mechanical issue with the Slate. Walmart would have been better than this (not that I am promoting them either), but at least they have corporate accountability.
