Slate apparently does not sell installation. You will not find it purchasable in the Maker. It will cost different amounts at different locations.

I was referring to installations in general.

But yes, at least some of their delivery partner locations will have already or will add staff to wrap. I don’t think it will be all unless the number of Slate delivering locations is low, which I hope not to be the case.

I was under the impression that the wraps when purchased with the truck and installation paid for would be done by a team either in a different part of the plant or in a close by location before shipping by the delivery partner.

Not according to the Slate wrap manager in the video. I think they should though but their focus is for nothing to slow the vehicle output.

I just contacted Slate and you are correct, I guess that has changed then from the last I heard.

The only issue I have is on the FAQ page they don’t specify this, only that you can have it arrive fully wrapped.

Sounds like plans are evolving. I was hoping and expecting my wrap selection to be installed at pickup but we'll see how it shakes out.

2 (shipping) is killing me. I'd love to hear the logistics of it all. Mostly so we could have a 1000 posts on the subject, because I think that's what it will produce! But I think Slate will keep that a secret as long as possible.

In the next few weeks, 4 (Warsaw) would be good. If they are really going to be giving us ride-alongs in production models, then let's see production.

1 (Maker) is just an irritation right now. They'll fix it. I can wait, but be annoyed.

3 (Slate-U), I'm OK if they wait until deliveries start. I expect they will be adding videos and instructions long after deliveries start.

In two weeks, when we have people discussing their ride along here on this forum, I hope it answers questions. However, I suspect it is going to open up many more questions and our patience will continue to melt away.

Did the AC blow too strongly into your contact lenses?

Did you fear spilling your Red Bull with each crack of pavement?

Was the cabin quiet enough to not disturb Joe's Experience Podcast?

Do the rubber mats smell like "rubber"?

Do the cubby doors latch tightly or do they flop/rattle with each bump?

Does your had slip off the window handle when winding it rapidly?

Do the sun visors stay in place or vibrant/shake? Will they block low sun? Will they block sun at the rear view mirror or is there a large gap?

Is the rear glass tinted? ?

Just saw this and it echoes my concern as well. My delivery window is Jan to Mar 27 but I'm getting cold feet because of the Repair Pal mechanism. Am I over thinking? Cheers

I think so. Early on Slate stated that we would be able to take our slate to any service center or mechanic for most types of repairs other than HV. Repair Pal's relatively sparce network will probably not meet the needs of the many. I'm still of the belief that repairs will be few and likely very basic and that any good mechanic will have no problem with or without assistance from Slate U. Just for grins I recently looked up repair pal affiliates near me and there were @ 50 within a 10 mile radius but I live in Orlando. CHEERS
