Lot’s of excitement with the new Event/Ridealong info.
But what would we like to see next from Slate? Was tempted to use survey format, but didn’t Cuz didn’t want to overlook something.

1 . Continued fleshing out the Maker, details, full pricing, installation, availability. For me that would be be the bed topper, be it the Cargo kit or SUV shell without seat and rollbar.

2. Shipping info. Actual destination points. Pickup/ delivery procedures. Delivery costs beyond destination.

3. Slate University. Start feeding us info, even small pieces as they become available, even with a subject to change disclaimer.

4. Video of Warsaw progress. Especially a nice line of finished Slates coming off the line.

what else? Please limit to actual production, not the wish list stuff from other threads like AWD, etc.

2 (shipping) is killing me. I'd love to hear the logistics of it all. Mostly so we could have a 1000 posts on the subject, because I think that's what it will produce! But I think Slate will keep that a secret as long as possible.

In the next few weeks, 4 (Warsaw) would be good. If they are really going to be giving us ride-alongs in production models, then let's see production.

1 (Maker) is just an irritation right now. They'll fix it. I can wait, but be annoyed.

3 (Slate-U), I'm OK if they wait until deliveries start. I expect they will be adding videos and instructions long after deliveries start.

I feel the absolute #1 thing Slate has to clarify is what RepairPal shops have signed on, and in what capacity. Everything else seems secondary to whether or not there is an appealing local repair facility certified to work on high voltage electronics.

I have stopped looking at the Maker…pointless until pricing is known on several important options. So, updating pricing and shipping locations is primo for me.

I'd like to see full pricing locked in so I know what I'm targeting (including installs).
I want to know what their privacy policies are via the App, will it upload truck data to them even if I explicitly do not want it to? (They can ask, that's fine, do not do it automatically..)

Videos of Warsaw would be a neat little thing, I can admire cool robots and engineering stuff.

It would be nice if they had an index page to show what was going to be published in SlateU even if they didn't have published content. They could release the courses as they become available. But at least we be able to see the scope.

Slate University Accessory Installation Videos are kinda hard to make if all they have are accessory prototypes and want to use final products. I can’t believe they don’t have the beginner level grill and taillight cover installations. Maybe they had the latter and threw it out when the tailgate changed. They also might be sidetracked making videos for Repair Pal courses..

if I were taking delivery in December or Q1, I’d write off RepairPal and Slate University, and probably even printed instructions. I’d expect “you’re on your own to figure it out” kind of DIY. But I’d love to be wrong.

For me:

(1) Delivery logistics. (2) Repair Pal info; what shops and where that will service the HV system just in case there are latent issues that need to be resolved. (3) Audio system specs. And (4), where do I send my check!

YES! Clarity on whether there actually is one near each of us. I want my vehicle WRAPPED and stereo installed as well as Tail light and Front lights animated
AND WHAT THESE COSTS WILL BE TO US?
Will it be pre-set by SLATE?? or just an hourly estimation from them?
then, we have to contact our Repair Pal to find out what their estimates are for each of the above jobs:
WRAP (Full plus Roof)
Animated Lights-front and back
Lock Kit for Bed....
Front speaker stereo installed
Fender flares

Does our local Repair Pal need the new Slate truck for one day - 2 days? Do they receive our Accessories? Or do we have to wait for them to arrive, then make an appt with Repair Pal and bring all the boxed items to them?

These are significant logistical and potential nightmare extra costs and time to get the Slate we want!

And what are SHIPPING COSTS? (these could be a significant up charge! - unless somehow AMAZON Prime is involved to get these accessories to us??)

I know, I know - we have had lengthy debates on this on a number of threads already. Until we get more information - it looms as a huge unknown that will seriously affect the amount we will pay!

OK - hard to prioritize - but pressing concerns/questions:
1). REPAIR PAL logistics....costs for each accessory, amount of time....how do our accessories get delivered.
I want it done all at one time.....
First need to know name of shop...who to contact?
If I don't like the work they do putting on the WRAP (or anything else) - will SLATE make sure I will be satisfied?
(hope it doesn't come to that). But, I seriously doubt any of these REPAIR PALS have ever. done WRAPS...and much less anything to do with an EV Battery - but that shouldn't be an issue unless we have a "it's a LEMON" issue :(
2). SLATE UNIVERSITY
there should be a new video each week on many subjects we need to know about our new truck, SUV, Fastback
one subject is - those NEW TO EVs - things to learn: 1 PD driving (video)....PreConditioning an LFP battery: when is it needed.
Video on the Remote-what it can do...VS...Telematics Module - what it can do...
3). SHIPPING/DELIVERY CHARGES...WHO IS DOING THIS and what are related charges?
4). VIDEO OF WARSAW FACTORY progress
this was the last video posted to their social media feed on June 11:
Jablansky says: "the robots are already hard at work". how long to train / program the robots?

and May 19: this cool DRONE FLYOVER
How many Robots are they using in this plant do u think?
One step closer to the road.

5). are they really planning a new Documentary on LEAN MANUFACTURING in conjunction with Re: Build?
filming scenes now for a HOLIDAY release? 🤔
from JULY 16 Social Media: X, BlueSky, Linked In
Please make our doc first, @Netflix
