Updated Slate interior digital dash

It seems slate has changed the digital dash instead of a square it is now a much better looking rectangle that seems better finished

I really dig it. Looks really good! I'm really curious if we'll be able to install a double DIN head unit with CarPlay and use the Slate app through that. I'd like to not *have* to take my phone out every time.

I honestly can't wait to see what Slate & the aftermarket comes up with for this thing.

Question is will the Slate talk with your phone for Android auto.

Now Android route planning is just as bad as Ford with just awful stop selection but the the interoperability is nice.


To be honest a blue tooth speaker system and my phone in the small adapter from the first photo would make me happy.

Usually navigation is, stop and charge, look at the robots guess for the next stop and figure out a better option if possible. Put the next stop in and ignore the rute planner. Almost always on my phone and not the car screen.

I hope that's right, but I've got a feeling that the housing is bigger but the screen itself is still the same small square in the middle when I look at it. Prove me wrong, PLEASE!

Slate wont be Android Auto, or Apple Carplay compatible sinceyou need to bring your own entertainment system... but they did say that you can install an aftermarket double DIN radio, which you could get one that does AA or Carplay

I dont think that has changed, the screen is just the center section with the left and right sides being just indicators. you can see it on some early videos like the motor trend video from late April...

Oh your right I guess I didn’t notice it there I remember the revile more
