Got a confirmation from Slate that it will support one-pedal driving (and of course will have regen braking).

Update - this was the Slate agent's reply:
Thank you for your interest in Slate! The Slate will have both one pedal driving as well as regenerative braking! Additionally, more information regarding specific specs will be available closer to time of production!

Cheers,

Great! How'd you ask and how'd they reply? Can you post their confirmation?

Thanks.
Just 1 day….

For those that can't/won't Google.......

It essentially makes it drive like a golf cart. Press large pedal to go and when you release it, it slows to a stop. No need to actually press on the brake pedal. Can take time to get used to for some people. I love it and use it exclusively.....to the point that when I get in our F250 I forget to use the brakes

To add to what @TRP has explained, the vehicle will use regenerative braking (which produce a charge back to the battery) to slow/stop the vehicle.

We had a Bolt EUV and I’ve driven a Kona EV. Chevy bolts have fantastic one pedal mode. Easy to modulate and full auto brake when stopped. The GM engineers nailed it. The Kona, not so much.

Rivian R1T
We have had our Rivian R1T for over two years. We always drive the Rivian with the highest level of regenerative braking. We have become big fans of One Pedal Driving (OPD) and have become very adept at using it.

We also have a Chevrolet Silverado 2500 Duramax. We have found the transition from one to the other seamless.

I am hoping that Slate will have full function OPD.

My son's friend who evidently learned to drive in a golf cart hopped out of my Jeep letting it run into my son's parked F150.:(
