Slate-branded Field Notes notebooks?

Saw the "Field Notes Green" color show up.
It'd be great if Field Notes actually produced a Slate-branded notebook.

I use Field Notes notebooks (and pens) for my in-car logs to record fuel records, service and maintenance. Tough little suckers. I have one at the ready for the Slate when it arrives!

I haven't yet figured out how and what energy data to log. So far, I have the date and @miles part figured out

Maybe record, EVSE Type: i.e. L1, L2, or L3. Quantity in kWh. Battery SOC S/F levels: i.e. 10% - 95%, 20% - 80%, etc.

Have no idea if the Slate app will track it automatically...

I’ve thought about that. When I get gas I write:
date • mileage • posted gas price
gallons • total cost

Which is engrained in habit and doesn’t waste any extra time while I’m already standing at the pump. But I’ll be charging a lot more often than I get gas. Getting so granular about it would be pointless and annoying, like logging every time I charge my phone. My Slate’s journal will probably be just maintenance and repair actions.

Being a Dinoboomer, keeping track of gas data was necessary back in the day because it was the best way to know when the engine was getting out of tune, before engines went digital. So, it's just a thing for me. For all my cars I keep this data, enter it into a spreadsheet just because I like to do data analysis. I have fueling records for one for my cars from 3 miles to 426,519 miles: 15,853.922 total gallons, $51,232.55 in cost - LOL.

I figure I'll just charge the Slate once a week.

I've been recording such information since I stated driving some 45+ years ago. If I don't do some type of hand data recording for the Slate, it's just gonna feel weird.

I'm totally with the last two posts. It is a habit I've had forever. I also see what my real MPG is over time. Not sure what I'll do with an EV. Maintenance for sure.

So, funny. I bought a new Bronco in 2022. It has two trip odometer data functions (total miles, time and MPG). I decided to keep Trip Odometer 2 to record the Bronco's lifetime MPG (calculated by the ECU). Only to find out it auto resets at 10,000-mile intervals. 🤣🤣🤣

I've recorded my mileage for 18 years in an app. They added ads and dropped location features a while back if you don't subscribe, I'd paid for the premium version way back, but still I can see MPG for every fuel up and lifetime averages over 2 vehicles in that time. Records all costs, purchase, maintenance, and fuel.
I did do a spreadsheet before that, but with this, no effort and I can see any kinds of graphs, highest and lowest MPGs and prices, etc. It's part of how I can tell a Slate will cost less to own.

My everyday carry lineup includes a Field Notes notebook. I also have one in every vehicle to record anything that comes to mind - grocery items, Home Depot list, my next genius idea, etc.
Slate will be my first EV so I have no idea what I'll be recording but I'm sure I'll have a dedicated notebook for it*. A Slate-branded notebook (maybe even a pen) seems like a natural fit.
