As a retired software GUI guy, I just have a thing for visualizing data. I was thinking about the different viewpoints I read on this site, and I decided to Venn diagram the perfect Slate customer. The hardcore base, if you will. The Slate or nothing crowd.

How would you diagram yourself? I think most of us would have different size circles. Maybe different factors.

It's cheap, it's small, and it's two doors like a pickup should be in my eyes. Color is a turn off but that can be remedied. It being bare-bones simple is a bonus on top.

Simple and Electric are why I'm going to buy this. Small and Truck are what got me interested. Customizable (and repairable) just makes me happy about the idea. I'm pretty close to the center of this diagram.

Isn't this a poll here somewhere? That way a proper, more representative Venn diagram can be developed.

I had a professor in engineering design classes who taught the Analytical Hierarchy Process. Take your desired system metrics and grade them against each other. Setting the comparative value of vehicle metrics. Then take your list of systems your choosing from and how they perform to each metric to see what system comes out on top.

He got his wife to agree with performing an AHP when they got in the market another vehicle.

The result was divorce and new marital partners.

I think this is the Poll you were referring to. Several outliers that didn’t make the top 5 categories, but it could help create a Venn diagram that better reflects the sentiment of this group.

I'm lucky enough that inexpensive isn't actually a big motivator. I do want it to be a good value, but if it was twice as good and twice as expensive, that would be OK. What I don't want is for it to get huge, or get too "luxurious" rather than "utility".
