I think I'll be a bit of both. For instance, since I know I'm only interested in the cargo variant (or SUV, if that's all that's available), I might have that done right away. From then on, it's all me for further maintenance and upgrades. Having said that, if they want to charge too much to bolt on the SUV top, I'll do it myself.

Tangential story, my first adult car was a pickup and I also ordered a bed liner. They want a few hundred dollars to install it but I refused. I said just throw it in the truck and I'll install it at home. It was a drop in bed liner. :giggle:

My 3D printer can't wait to start printing a new dashboard. I'll make my own entertainment system, will install comma.ai, will install 360 cameras and will train my very own backup autopilot.

I’ve never done a wrap, but if we are concerned people can’t or won’t do a good job, I’m afraid to think how they would botch a paint job. I suspect removing a bad vinyl will be far easier than removing a bad paint job.

Just like my current truck I do some basics, but if I think could grow into a multi day project I get a shop on it.

On the five-wrench difficulty scale, I'd do
- up to 🔧🔧🔧 for sure,
- probably 🔧🔧🔧🔧, and
- possibly 🔧🔧🔧🔧🔧
